This Privacy Policy explains how Indian Udyog Online (“Indian Udyog”, “we”), an individual / sole proprietorship operated by Rajesh Kumar Ahuja, handles personal information when you use the website www.indianudyog.com and the Indian Udyog Android app, application id com.indianudyog.app (together, the “Platform”).

1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile number, password (stored hashed), and profile details.
- Order and address data: shipping/billing address, pincode, order history, and return/replacement requests (including photos or videos you upload as evidence).
- Seller data: store name, GSTIN, PAN, bank/KYC details, and listing content, as required to operate the marketplace.
- Payment data: payment status, method, and gateway references. Card/UPI credentials are collected by the payment partner (for example Razorpay), not stored in full on Indian Udyog servers.
- Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, app version, cookies or similar local storage, and approximate location derived from pincode or IP, used for security, delivery checks, and analytics.
- App data: if you use the Android app, the app may access the internet, and — only when you choose a feature that needs it — photos or files you pick for a return, listing, or support message. We do not read your contacts, SMS, or camera roll in the background.
- Support data: messages you send via contact forms, email, or in-app tickets.
2. How we use information
- Create and manage accounts, orders, deliveries, cancellations, returns, and refunds.
- Show order status and service notifications (email, SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app).
- Detect fraud, abuse, and prohibited content; comply with law and payment-partner requirements.
- Improve the Platform, personalise browsing, and (only if you opt in) send promotional messages.
- Settle seller payouts and handle GST / tax reporting where applicable.
3. Sharing
We share data only as needed to run the marketplace:
- Sellers receive the information required to fulfil your order (name, address, phone, item details).
- Logistics partners (for example Shiprocket, Delhivery and their couriers) receive delivery and return-pickup details.
- Payment gateways receive data needed to process payment and refunds.
- Cloud / email / hosting providers that process data on our instructions.
- Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login, cart, and security, and may use analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work if essential cookies are blocked.
5. Retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for tax, dispute, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account; we may retain limited data where the law requires it.
6. Your choices and account deletion
- Update profile and addresses in your account.
- Opt out of promotional emails/WhatsApp where an unsubscribe option is provided.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing contact@indianudyog.com. We will delete or anonymise the data we are not legally required to keep.
7. Security and children
We use industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords). No method of transmission is 100% secure. The Platform is not directed at children under 18.
8. Third-party services
The Platform uses service providers to operate, including payment (such as Razorpay), logistics (such as Shiprocket and Delhivery), cloud hosting, and email or SMS/WhatsApp delivery. Those providers process data only to perform their service. Google Play may collect its own data when you download the app; that collection is covered by Google’s policy, not this one.
9. International access
The Platform is meant for users in India. If you access it from outside India, you do so at your own choice and your information may be processed in India. This page is publicly available from all locations and is not geo-blocked.
10. Changes
We may update this policy by posting the new version on this page. The “Last updated” date on the page shows when it changed.
